After a rain-soaked gameweek 2 saw very few shinty matches going ahead, gameweek 3 returned with almost every match going ahead in the early-Spring sunshine.

Oban Celtic were the visitors at Peterson Park to take on Glasgow Mid Argyll in the MOWI National. The Oban side came into the match after suffering successive 10–0 defeats in their opening two league games, while GMA were 2-1 victors over Inveraray in their only competitive match so far this season.

There was a big name return for Oban Celtic, with Bob MacIntyre featuring in their midfield less than 3 weeks before the start of The Masters in Augusta.

GMA took all the points after a 7-1 victory, with seven different players finding the net in an impressive performance for the home side.

Gary Luke took the man of the match award for GMA following an impressive performance in the middle of the park.
