On the opening day of the 2026 MOWI National division, Inveraray were the vistors at Peterson Park to take on Glasgow Mid Argyll.

Last season, Inveraray took all the points in the league encounters between the two, and knocked GMA out of the Camanachd Cup following a sodden second round match at the Winterton.

This year the Glasgow side were able to start the season on the front foot in a 2:1 victory following second-half goals from Ross Brown and John Sweeney. Ruaraidh Graham Jnr's first-half strike gave Inveraray the early lead, but they were unable to hold off the home team in the second half.
